Last week I had the privilege and joy of attending the graduation celebrations at five schools – Concordia LC, St Andrews LC, Good Shepherd LC, Faith LC Redlands and Prince of Peace LC. If there were more days in the week, I would have loved to attend more. Each event was a fitting acknowledgement of the contribution by, and service to others, each respective cohort of young men and women who will now move on to the next stage of their lives. The events were all unique in that they reflected local context and local traditions. They were also all alike. The all involved worship, recognition of service to others, and reflected the quality holistic education we espouse as critical to Lutheran schools.
Congratulations to all graduating students across all 26 schools, and a vote of thanks to all staff, teaching and non-teaching, who have assisted in shaping the lives of these outstanding young men and women over the years.
