Over the past six weeks, staff and volunteers across our schools and at LEQ have been completing the new version of Valuing Safe Communities, VSC 5 which was released by LEA in January.
Key changes to both the online and face-to-face components from VSC 4 include:
- Inclusion of unconscious bias
- Inclusion of coercive control
- Modification of content to align with legislative changes
The face-to-face component of VSC can be delivered by your school-based trainers or by LEQ. Please contact me if you would like LEQ to come to your school to deliver the face-to-face training.
It was a pleasure visiting St John’s Lutheran Primary School on 17th February to deliver the face-to-face component of the training to the staff. It was wonderful to see staff actively engaged in activities and discussion throughout the session.
