Lutheran Education Queensland is proud to announce that three of our schools have won The Educator Magazine’s ‘Innovative Schools’ award for 2017:
- Bethany Lutheran Primary School, Raceview
- Living Faith Lutheran Primary School, Murrumba Downs
- St Paul’s Lutheran Primary School, Caboolture.
This is an incredible honour for Lutheran Education Queensland to have three schools selected in Australia’s top 40 schools leading the way in providing forward-thinking education to prepare students for an ever changing future.
Across the Lutheran Education Queensland school system we have been undergoing an educational transformation. Our purpose is to deliver ‘inspired learning for life’ and we believe that begins in teaching in a new way—a way that:
- builds a student’s resilience and agility
- promotes critical thinking and problem solving using real world challenges
- inspires students to collaborate, create, and innovate.
Our schools have progressively been redesigning their classrooms into agile learning spaces that promote student engagement and allow students to grow as independent life-long learners.
Many of our traditional classrooms, with desks lined up in a row where children were previously taught using a ‘one-size fits all’ approach, have been replaced with brightly coloured learning spaces where students can work in small groups under the care and guidance of a teacher-facilitated educative approach.
Another key element of transforming the way to educate our children for the future has been to continue to celebrate the different learning styles needed to assist our students in understanding themselves as learners and, in turn, giving them the ability to succeed and improve.
Inspire your child to learn for life.
