Inclusion Support

What support is available for children with disabilities or special needs?

We aim to support the educational needs of all children and students enrolled in our education services. You can discuss your child’s educational needs with your child’s Service Manager, teacher, or the school’s specialist support staff, and they will work with you to develop, implement and review your child’s individualised learning plan.

What do I do if I’m not happy with the level of support my child is receiving?

If you feel your child’s needs aren’t being met, it’s important you speak with your child’s teacher, the specialist support staff, or your Service Leader or School Principal. They will work with you to review your child’s educational needs and adjust the learning plans in place to best support them moving forward.

How much funding does the school receive if my child has a disability and how do I know that these funds are going to my child?

The amount of specialist support funding any service or school receives is based on the number of students enrolled at the service or school who have a disability.

This type of funding is not allocated to individual children and students. Resources are allocated to provide reasonable adjustments within the classroom, ensuring all children and students with disability in attendance are supported to engage with educational programs.

For more information, please contact your Service Leader or School Principal.
