Welcome to everyone and thank you for the tremendous work that you are doing in your schools.
Now that the students are back at school learning face-to-face, I can only imagine the joy and excitement of teachers the last two weeks.
After two years of navigating the COVID 19 Pandemic, we find ourselves still having to adjust to constant changes and updates however, we appear to be “moving on”.
Fortunately, as humans we are engineered for fresh starts. Our brain is hardwired to respond to new stimuli as part of our learning processes. This allows us to neurologically wire our understanding of life, ourselves and the normal order of things. It allows us to grow, to push forward into creating new stories, new inventions and to adapt. The unending opportunity for fresh beginnings and the new discoveries they bring are part of what makes our humanity remarkable.
2022 is a new year, a fresh start, a new beginning for us all. Especially we think of the little people starting in Prep, students starting in Year 7 and for new teachers and staff to our schools. New beginnings can be pretty daunting but with our support and guidance everything will be okay. I pray that everyone has settled into their new setting with enthusiasm and optimism.
The story of Christ’s resurrection is a story of new beginnings, His death was a sacrifice so that we may be forgiven our sins, so we may have a fresh start, a new beginning, new life.
Prayer.
Dear heavenly Father we know that each day is a new day, a new beginning. Be with all of our school leaders as they see new beginnings as an opportunity to share your word and your love with their community. Blessings to you all.
Eunice
