The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), National School Improvement Tool (NSIT) focuses on those practices that are most directly related to school-wide improvements and learning outcomes for students. A number of our schools have participated in an Inquiry Review to more fully explore the narrative of learning in their school, understand the ‘lived experience’ of students, parents and staff and then used this to inform the development of their Operational Plan. In partnership, numerous Principals and senior leaders from our schools have now completed comprehensive training to utilise the NSIT to gain deeper insight into their own school and are working towards leveraging collegially to act as teams of peer Inquiry Reviewers by invitation of our schools. This is an exciting initiative with practical application that has a clear focus on improvement for the benefit of ‘our students’. Do you want to know more? Click here.
