Lutheran Secondary School Leaders (LSSL) was formed in 2017 with the aim to share the practices of Lutheran education, foster a co-operative approach to the existing and emerging challenges of secondary education, and discuss organisational strategies for transitions and implementation.
LSSL provides is a platform to share experiences and ideas that specifically relate to the role of Head of Secondary School or equivalent, including teaching and learning, pastoral care, and building leadership capacity in middle leaders. This group stands alongside other important networking groups in schools for Heads of Primary School and Principals viz. Independent Primary School Heads Association (IPSHA), Lutheran Principals Australia Queensland (LPAQ) and Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).
LSSL also creates an opportunity to meet at a variety of Lutheran schools to discuss initiatives, share ideas and showcase practices across our system. All schools across our system are encouraged to prayerfully consider sending representatives to our meetings. Meetings are held in Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3. The support of Principals in this endeavor will demonstrate the importance of working collaboratively within our system and engaging in strategic issues before us.
On behalf of LSSL
