Valuable skills and qualifications
What is Vocational Education and Training?
Vocational Education and Training (VET) is a learning pathway providing students with the opportunity to engage in education and training that may lead to employment and/or further study.
Successful VET completion provides students with valuable nationally recognised qualifications plus the critical skills and knowledge required for specific industries and occupations.
VET qualifications are offered in Years 10, 11 and 12 and may provide credit towards a student’s Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Benefits of VET include:
- obtaining practical experience from workplaces
- opportunities to explore potential career paths
- developing employability skills.
