It is with great joy that Lutheran Education Queensland honours and congratulates Bernie MacKenzie and The Honourable Warren Truss on their recognition in the Australia Day 2019 Honours List. We extend our gratitude for their gifts and talents, so generously shared through serving Lutheran schools in Queensland, the Lutheran Church of Australia and the wider community.
Bernie MacKenzie served as a College Council member and College Council Chair at Peace Lutheran College in Cairns for over a decade until 2018.
The Honourable Warren Truss, in addition to his roles in public life, continues to serve on College Council at St James Lutheran College in Hervey Bay.
