With the recent passing of Sir Ken Robinson, there has been numerous tributes to the courage, fortitude, knowledge and wisdom of his initiatives in transforming education.
Recently a Lutheran Education Principal spoke about how Sir Ken inspired them in their school journey in four points:
- dreaming of contemporary education before we even knew we were clinging to a factory model.
- responsible for opening our eyes waaaay back in 2006 to the notion that creativity is as important as literacy and that schools were crushing creativity.
- inspiring a generation of educators and parents to step back and let children find their passion.
- powerful influencer of Lutheran educators through books, TED Talks, Most Likely To Succeed, conferences and more.
