Thought for today –
Maybe this is what grace is, the unseen sounds that make you look up… Anne Lamott
I am thrilled that Helena Lambert has this week accepted the call to work permanently full time across schools in the space of Identity & Formation. This year it has been a blessing to offer greater encouragement and support to schools in the space of Service-Learning. As we begin to think about and plan for 2022, it is exciting to be listening for the places where we can best serve each of your communities. Please be in touch if there are times/dates when you will be looking for our support next year.
We have been collaborating with our colleagues across the regions as we, like you, respond to the challenges of Covid. Currently we are making decisions about what can be run digitally and what needs to be held off for in-person opportunities. Whilst those of us who work in the Identity & Formation space are agreed that there are aspects of our work which require us to be face to face, we are working to be prepared to run Connect Session 4 online should that be necessary. Please note the following up-coming schedule of events. This is an overview only. Details will be sent via email to the relevant people:
Restorative Practices Training August 23-25 – Going ahead in line with Government regulations.
Service-Learning Retreat – a new date early in term 4 will be confirmed in consultation with schools ASAP.
Christian Studies Leaders & Teachers Network Day August 31 – this will now be online afternoon session
Pastoral Care & Wellbeing Network Day September 10 – now an online afternoon session
Equip 1 Group D – postponed from next week until after the holidays. Dates being negotiated with participants.
