This week some of the Leadership Team from Faith Lutheran College Plainland engaged in a Customised Contemporary Learning Tour to focus on specific areas of transformation.
The tour began with engaging in a Touchline Workshop with Steve Collis from Amicus to enable a scaffold and process for seeking out the right information and elements to analyse and decipher.
Next Stop was Santa Sophia College Parramatta Diocese to immerse Catholic Education’s new flagship P-12 College. We then progressed onto Lindfield Learning Village which are friends of Lutheran Education and feature in the film, New School. Principal Stephanie McConnell and Deputies, Lou Deibe and Mark Burgess with the beautiful team of student guides challenged all our thinking.
We then progressed to Bendigo Marist College to understand further contemporary learning vision, structures and evolution of educator teams. Our final destination was NewMark Primary School (Former Lumineer academy) to stretch our thinking on applications of rich contemporary pedagogy intertwined with the wider community. We were all able to dig deep to recognise the common threads as well as elements which will enhance our own school’s journeys.
