Last Friday 23rd July, I attended a day for Early Career Teachers at St Paul’s Lutheran Primary School – Caboolture. The day began with a devotion and introductions followed by a tour of the school. As I don’t get many opportunities to visit schools it was a welcome part of the day. The students were wonderful and very polite as they always are!
I was invited to attend and present an overview of LEQ and LEA by Lois Kube – Principal. There was a busy schedule planned for the day hosted by Lois with presentations from Kathy Stock – Grace LPS, Rebekah Bruyn – Prince of Peace, Chelsea Formosa – Living Faith LPS, Katrina Russell – St Paul’s LPS, Matt Nicholls – St Paul’s LPS and Matt Church – Prince of Peace (first year teacher).
Present were early career teachers first to third year of teaching in our north side schools. In addition, there were three pre-service teachers completing their degree this year and all hoping to be employed in a Lutheran school in Queensland.
It was a very positive day with lots of learning and sharing taking place even over morning tea and lunch. The day finished with a panel of six people. Reflections and prayer.
Well done Lois and the planning team on a great day.
