Supporting the professional growth of early career and emerging pre-service teachers is vital as we welcome them to serve in our schools. Recently, the Lutheran Education North Side (LENS) planning group including Katrina Valencia, Lois Kube, Anne-Marie Schmidt, Melissa Tronc and Kathy Stock convened a day of deep collaboration and shared learning, hosted generously by Grace Lutheran Primary School.
In addition to connecting our early career teachers, we welcomed ACU graduand education students studying the Lutheran Strand, encouraging them to explore opportunities in our schools. Sharing professional practice, joys, questions, insights and future visions was complemented by exploring practicalities of theology through Growing deep, daily devotions, systemic support networks and opportunities to grow across our schools.
