Changes to State funding for Students with Disability

From 1 January 2023, the Department of Education changed the way in which state government funds were used to support Queensland state school students with disability. The change was to replace the Education Adjustment Program (EAP) model with the NCCD criteria. During 2023, non-state schools continued to be funded under the EAP. Minister Grace has now advised that from 1 January 2024, the NCCD criteria will be used to allocate state government funding for students with disability in all Queensland schools. LEQ will arrange a briefing session in early term 4 to further explain what these changes mean in practice. Click here for more details.
