On Friday 19 May, Bethania Lutheran Primary School said farewell to their Principal of almost 10 years Mrs Catherine Eyers.
Catherine came to Bethania in 2004 as an instrumental music and teacher of Year 7 Maths and English. She was Deputy Principal for five years before taking over the role of Principal from Dr Ian Marks in 2013.
During her time as Principal she saw the school grow in student numbers with two major building projects completed as well as a new carpark facility. Her passion for music was evident in her writing and staging of many musicals with performances giving opportunity to all senior students to display their talents and building confidence on stage.
Catherine’s belief that everyone is special and unique and everyone regardless of background or ability deserves the very best a school can provide, was paramount in her leadership. We wish Catherine all the best for her next chapter.
