LEQ is seeking Expressions of Interest from middle leaders interested in being part of a focus group led by AITSL and Department of Education QLD in Term 4. The focus group intends to trial the new AITSL Middle Leader Standards and their input will help shape the national roll-out of the standards. We hope that LEQ will have voice and involvement that will help define a commonly shared or agreed-upon definition of middle leadership in Australia.
Middle leadership roles in Australian schools can be loosely divided into three different categories: pedagogical leadership, student-based leadership, and program leadership.
