Some comments from educational leaders:
“The Contemporary Learning Framework came at exactly the right time while we are looking at the future of schooling”
“It is extremely helpful for us to visualise what a school of the future may look like especially as it is set up in a rubric form -we can look at the “Deeply Embedded “ and this is where we want to head and it helps the right conversations.”
“It is encouraging as all the stages are positively written to help schools develop”
“It is very comprehensive not only focussing on the teaching and learning but all the enablers and structures to support a contemporary school including governance”
“Coming from perspectives of multiple stakeholders including parents teachers and students we especially liked”
“It is a great common framework we can use across all our schools”
“Thanks for the time and effort you have put in to creating the Contemporary Learning Framework. This document will help inform and guide our discussions and plans for the future. In particular, I appreciate the Lutheran Foundation being central in the key area of Culture and I am already planning how we can incorporate this in an upcoming PD session.”
“This is Truly Transformational ” “It is responsive and articulates a good change management approach”
For many months Kimberley Powell (LEVNT) and I have been working on writing a Contemporary Learning Framework – Core Elements of a Contemporary School. The reason that we began writing it was because so many school leaders and teachers were asking us based on all the ongoing contemporary tours, engagements, experts, contemporary professional learning etc, what does a truly contemporary school look like across all the different facets of a school, from the way students operate, how the culture feels and what teacher practice looks like in the classroom. Are there any commonalities, concepts, practices and principles which can be shared? We answered the call with a guiding dynamic document.
We are pleased to share the Contemporary Learning Framework – Core Elements of a Contemporary School . In coming time we will engage with you in working out ways of implementing. The document has had many revisions and edits as we continued to take on feedback and evolve the framework to be the best representation of contemporary learning in our Lutheran context that it could be.
If you are in any way on the journey to delivering a contemporary approach to education then this framework will be useful. If you would like a copy please reach out and I will send you a PDF, with a visit to guide you through possible ways of it assisting.
