Well done to Grace Primary students and staff for cleaning up the beaches in their neighbourhood. What wonderful values the students are learning about looking after the environment and altruistic in their approach to life.
They had so much fun and treated it like a treasure hunt!
Not only did they remove plastics from entering Moreton Bay and some that were already in the water, but that had an impromptu history lesson – they found a soft drink can from the 1990s! To think that rubbish could be hiding between rocks since that time is mind boggling. Removing waste is the real ‘treasure’ for our marine life.
