Our Services
Our Schools & OSHCs
At LEQ, we know learning is lifelong.
Lutheran Education Australia’s Learning Framework—Free to Flourish—underpins all Lutheran schools, early childhood services, and outside school hours care services. It is grounded in Christian beliefs and values, and is the catalyst for ongoing improvement and innovation in our learning environments.
Lutheran learning communities are student-centred, engaging, and inspiring. We support students to develop their talents, and encourage them to enrich their communities and embrace the future.
Our commitment to academic empowerment and Gospel-centred pastoral care across every stage of a child’s development enables students to flourish as compassionate, purposeful, adventurous, and relational individuals ready to embrace challenges, think innovatively, and positively impact their communities.
We believe, as learners, we are free to flourish. We engage and enrich our learning journeys through being:
- Adventurous
Our learning communities are transformative and safe places that invite courageous exploration, collaboration, and interconnectedness. Learning here is experiential and immersive. - Compassionate
Our services and schools live through our values, including inclusion, understanding, compassion, justice, and love. - Purposeful
Our learning communities are places where learners are reflective and make unique contributions to enrich their local community. - Relational
Learners are seen, heard and known. Students from all cultural backgrounds, faiths, families, and parts of the world join us, enriching our diverse community with their unique voices and experiences.
Outside School Hours Care
Most Schools and Colleges with primary-aged children offer Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). At OSHC, children can continue learning, or unwind and play before and after school hours, and during school holidays.
Families are able to claim Child Care Subsidy as eligible.
Outdoor education
Our commitment to outdoor education contributes to our student’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development. When paired with our values of compassion, service, courage, and hope in a dedicated program, students learn more about themselves and their peers, their capabilities as individuals and as team players, and their unlimited potential.
Learning for life
We prepare students to be ready for work, tertiary study, and life beyond the school gates.
Students are encouraged to pursue their passions in all areas of life. Our Schools offer extracurricular programs in performing arts, sports, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, community service, languages, and more – and students excel.
Students at Lutheran schools excel in their senior years (from Year 11), with strong guidance, training and resources ahead of school-based and external assessments, and tertiary entrance systems like ATAR.
Boarding & international students
Boarding is available at select Lutheran schools, providing learning opportunities for students to achieve while living away from home. When your child boards at a Lutheran school, you become part of our family.
Many of our Lutheran schools accept enrolment from international students, whether that’s to board with us or through a home-stay arrangement.
At a Lutheran school, students are part of a diverse and welcoming community, where they build friendships that traverse continents and expand their worldview.
