Congratulations to Ruth Ferguson, the new Principal at St John’s Lutheran School, who was officially installed on Sunday.
This wonderful celebration, led by Bishop Dr Mark Vainikka and LEQ Executive Director Tanya Crooks, comes in Ms Ferguson’s third month serving the School in the Principal role.
Ms Ferguson shared her vision for St John’s, as inspired by Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Under Ms Ferguson’s leadership, St John’s is set to be a school where every student, staff member, and family is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential – not for personal gain, but for the greater good of our community and beyond.
Principals from Immanuel Lutheran College and Prince of Peace Lutheran College joined to share blessings, alongside members of the School Council and special guests from across the wider LEQ, Lutheran Education Australia, and Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District communities.
Congratulations, Ms Ferguson. May your commitment to continuing the St John’s legacy continue to guide the school community for generations to come.
