DESCRIPTION:The ISQ Parent Network has kindly agreed to provide a dedicated online session for LEQ Principals and their school teams around parent engagement\, relationships\, expectations and communications.\nWe are aware that a number of our schools have had recent experiences with some challenging situations and our intention in holding this session is to have an opportunity to discuss how we manage and respond when things are going well and when they are not going so well. \nSome of the topics Amanda Watt\, Executive Director and Jacky Dawson\, Parent Engagement Program Manager will address include: \n\ngeneral overview of the principles and research behind parent engagement\nhow do we work together to equip aspiring and new principals in this space\nsupporting parents of children with disability and managing expectations\, particularly during transitions (e.g. early years settings to the classroom or next phase of schooling)\nwhere can we access support and mentoring\nhow do we work with parents to help them see the importance of celebrating child’s progress and release of parent and support dependency\n\nClick here to register
